Cabo
Roig is situated equidistant between Alicante, Elche, Orihuela,
Murcia and Cartagena There is the lovely peninsula of old
Cabo Roig with wide avenues lined with palms and landscaped
gardens. The area is surrounded by olive, orange, lemon and
almond groves.
The views of the Mediterranean to the La Manga peninsula
and the Mar Menor create a picturesque backdrop to this delightful
town and the beaches here are simply gorgeous. There are 3
local beaches, all with clear waters and EEC Blue Flag awards
for cleanliness. This is an excellent place for water sports
including sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, water skiing,
windsurfing and fishing.
€2,000,000 has been spent on refurbishing the marina,
home of the annual August regatta. Club Nautico Cabo Roig
Yacht Club sits at the bottom of Cabo Roig cape and provides
boat mooring, sailing and windsurf classes. The marina itself
has over 200 moorings for boats of up to 12 meters.
Campoamor, Las Ramblas and Villamartin golf courses are within
a 10 minute drive
Nice cafés, bars and restaurants can be found in Cabo
Roig and if you are looking for hot nightclubs there is a
whole line of the along the N332 coast road.
San Javier, Murcia airport is less than a 20 minute drive
from Cabo Roig and its easy access to the AP7 motorway if
you want quick access to the surrounding towns for big shopping
trips!
There are some pretty exclusive properties in Cabo Roig and
it is generally considered to be a ‘sought after’
area. There are also some great beach side apartments with
good rental potential and great views!
