Torrevieja
is by the Mediterranean Sea just 35km from Alicante's El Altet
Airport and Murcia's San Javier Airport an easy 2.5 hour flight
from the UK. You can expect approximately 320 days sunshine
each year. In the winter daytime temperatures average 60°F
(15.5°C), and sometimes as high as 70°F. Torrevieja
summers are typically 85°F (29.5°C). This region has
16” less rain per year than in the UK.
The beaches are Blue Flag and soft sand with wheelchair
access. Playa de la Mata,Playa de los Locos, Playa del Cura.
Plenty of space to soak up endless hours of fresh air and
sunshine if you just want to chill for a while. There is waterfront
sport going on and if you fancy a gentle stroll then the seafront
promenade is a great people watching walk.
A little further inland there are 2 famous lagoons, the
pinky coloured Torrevieja one and the La Mata lake. These
are protected nature reserves and attract all sorts of bird
including the amazing flamingos. A great area for cycling,
walking and riding.
There are 5 excellent golf courses within easy reach, 4
bowls clubs and Aquapolis Water Park for the children (big
& small) has kamikaze slides and river rapids as well
as more attractions for the really small ones. There is a
club for just about everything in Torrevieja if you are looking
to be active: scuba diving, belly dancing, cycling, running,
sailing, badminton, netball and table tennis.

Torrevieja is a favourite spot for shoppers whether your
preference is trendy boutiques, high street, shopping mall
or the great street market.
Try not to miss the important festivals of the Moors and
Christians (July), L’Encanta and the Fogueres de Sant
Joan.
There are several museums including the fascinating Sea &
Salt Museum can be found in the town. The neoclassical Church
of Immaculate Conception was built in the early 19th-century
where the original church that was destroyed in 1829. You
will find some wonderful Moorish architecture around the town
including the Torre Del Moro - a 14th cylindrical Moorish
tower, an important symbol here.
And if you’re not totally exhausted when evening comes
there is always the fantastic NIGHTLIFE in Torrevieja. If
you are looking for good restaurants and bars for a civilised
evening there are plenty to be found on the other hand if
you really want to party there is no end to the clubs in both
Avenida de las Cortes Valencianas and Avenida Delfina, and
they stay open until 5am.
There is wide selection of property in Torrevieja, you can

town, beautiful urbanisation resorts with a great choice of
apartments, duplexes, townhouses and villas and there are
lots of individual resale homes and off plan options. Torrevieja
is an excellent place to buy your first property in Spain

ease your way into the Spanish way of life.
